About this site
This is a set of investment calculators built and maintained by one person. It sells nothing, takes no commission on anything you invest, and has no affiliate links. It is supported by display advertising, and that is the whole business model.
Who writes this
I am Sudarshan Babar, a software engineer. I build and run the getinfotoyou network of small web tools, of which this is one. I write the code, the formulas and the words on every page here.
What I am not: I am not a SEBI-registered investment adviser, a chartered accountant, or a financial planner. I hold no licence to give investment advice and I do not give it. Nothing on this site is a recommendation to buy or sell anything.
What I can do reliably is implement financial mathematics correctly, document every assumption, and test it. That is an engineering claim rather than a financial one, and it is the only claim this site makes about itself. If you find an error in the arithmetic, I want to hear about it — getinfotoyou@gmail.com.
Why this exists
Most Indian SIP calculators share three problems. They present one big projected number with no inflation context, so it reads as a promise. They never say which formula they used, so you cannot tell why two calculators disagree. And several of them quote tax rules that stopped being true in 2024.
This site tries to fix those specifically:
- Every projection can show the inflation-adjusted value beside the nominal one.
- Every formula is written out on the methodology page, including the timing and compounding conventions that make calculators differ.
- Tax content states the rules as they stand after the July 2024 changes, with a date on it and a link to the primary source.
- Every page works with JavaScript disabled, because a calculator that renders an empty shell is useless to anyone on a slow connection.
How this site makes money, precisely
Display advertising. Ad slots are labelled "Advertisement", never dressed up as content, and never placed inside a calculator where they could be mistaken for part of the tool.
There are no affiliate links, no referral fees, no sponsored fund mentions, and no arrangement of any kind with a fund house, broker or platform. This matters because it removes the most common reason a finance site would nudge you toward a particular product: I earn exactly the same whatever you do next, including nothing.
The site does not collect your inputs. Every calculation happens in your browser and no figure you type is ever sent to a server. See the privacy policy for what is collected — analytics and advertising cookies, which is not nothing.
Corrections
Tell me when it is wrong
Tax law changes, government rates get revised quarterly, and I make mistakes. If a figure here is out of date or an assumption is indefensible, email getinfotoyou@gmail.com and I will fix it and update the date on the page.
